The Archaeological Museum of Apiranthos (or Aperanthos) is housed in a small building in this traditional, mountainous village of Naxos. In Apiranthos, known as the Marble village, you will find three other small and equally interesting museums: the Folklore Museum, the Geological Museum and the Museum of Natural History.
The Archaeological Museum of Apiranthos houses findings from excavations in the region. These findings date from the first Cycladic Era and have been collected from ancient cemeteries and settlements. There distinguish some ancient statues, funeral columns, and weapons from the prehistoric times.
