Dimitrakis Guest House (Donousa)

I recently had the chance to escape to Donousa and the pleasure of staying at the Dimitrakis Guest House,.
I must say it was a truly remarkable experience.
From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the beautiful setting and the warm welcome I received from the owner, Dimitris. The guest house is located on the island of Donousa, which is part of the Cyclades in Greece. It is situated just a short distance from Kedros Beach and Vathi Limenari Beach, making it an ideal location for those seeking a relaxing holiday by the sea.

The apartments at Dimitrakis Guest House are beautifully designed, with a mix of traditional stone architecture and modern amenities. My apartment had a spacious living area with a comfortable bed, a fully equipped kitchenette with a fridge and stovetop, and a private bathroom with a great shower. What stood out the most was the stunning view of the Aegean Sea and the surrounding mountains from my balcony. It was truly breathtaking, and I spent many hours just gazing out at the horizon and taking in the peaceful surroundings.

Dimitris, the owner, was an excellent host and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and memorable. He welcomed me with a plate of delicious sweets and a bottle of his own olive oil, which I used to cook some amazing meals during my stay. He was always available to answer any questions I had and provided me with valuable information about the island and its attractions.

One of the things I loved most about the guest house was its proximity to nature. The garden surrounding the apartments was beautiful, and I enjoyed taking walks in the nearby hills and hiking trails. There was also a small beach within walking distance, which was perfect for swimming and sunbathing. I even had the pleasure of seeing some of the local wildlife, including turtles and a variety of birds.

In the evenings, I enjoyed relaxing on the terrace with a glass of wine, taking in the stunning sunset views and the millions of stars that lit up the sky. The peacefulness and tranquility of the setting made for a truly memorable experience, and I felt rejuvenated and refreshed after my stay.

Overall, I cannot recommend Dimitrakis Guest House enough. The apartments are beautifully designed, the location is stunning, and the hospitality provided by Dimitris is exceptional. Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or just some time to relax and unwind, this guest house is the perfect choice. I will definitely be back and can't wait to experience it all over again.
